The single most effective thing that you can do to attract Beauty Business clients, and get people to call you is to stay in touch with them on a consistent basis.
I believe the reason for this is that it is a great way for you to position yourself as an expert. Anything that you can write about, has the written word, and that is delivered to your audience on a consistent basis, establishes you as an expert.
When I first got started publishing my own ezine, or as it used to be called, and electronic newsletter, I wrote a very short paragraph on skin care and makeup tips. I called it cosmetic-tip-online. It just gave quick tips focused on one thing.
After I set up my ezine template, all I had to do was fill in the box with my own tips that I had written. I found this form of advertising, very low key, and very well received by people who opt in to read what I have to say.
What I mean by opt-in is that you are asking prospects for their permission to stay in touch with them, and they are giving you it to you. This is your ideal prospect for future business. People who actually want to hear from you. How cool it that?
For those of you who are already on my beauty business ezine, you know that I deliver high value content information on how to start and grow your business, on a consistent basis. Even when I know that I will be out of town. I can write the ezine, and pre-schedule it to go out on a certain date at a certain time, without me being there.
The reason that I am sharing this example with you, is that I want you to know that sending an ezine to your prospects on a consistent basis is not negotiable. I think that the biggest mistakes that the solo beauty business professional makes is thinking that they can send out a flyer once in awhile, or just call people out of the blue when they get desperate and need to quickly make money.
So like I said. sending out your ezine, and consistently following up with your prospects is non-negotiable. Seriously think about creating an ezine if you don’t currently have one, and be consistent about it. Even if you don’t do anything else to advertise your beauty business. I say this because it’s one of the most effective ways to promote your products and services. And as we will see in a minute, it also helps to establish that know, like, and trust factor with your prospects, and to get referrals.

In order to be able to follow up consistently, as we talked about, with your prospects is to build a list of people who want to be there. You can invite them to join your ezine list, and then you can easily follow up with hundreds, maybe even thousands at the same time without any extra effort on your part each week.
By doing this, it spreads the word about you and your business. The key is to capture their name and email address. You can get this information a few different ways. Either from networking, thru your website, speaking and more.
By positioning yourself as the expert in your target market, consistently following up, will eventually help you win the game.
So, to get started building your list, all you have to do is set up your template in whatever system you want to use, a shopping cart, or start with a simple web form.
Just a note about web forms, you can create your own web-form without having to have a website to start. So really there is no excuse for you to not be collecting names and emails from your prospects.
The key here is that it is very inexpensive, and for the most part free, and you can quickly and easily publish your ezine compared to printing a newsletter on paper.
